MIRDIF MILERS CLUB CHARTER
1. MEMBERSHIP
Membership of the Mirdif Milers (MM) is open to any person capable of finding the Peoples Republic of Mirdifovia and running with the club on Monday Night. Unless the attendee is wearing a Dubai Road Runners or Dubai Creek Striders vest whereupon they shall be deported from the republic.
2. CLUB GOALS
The aim of the club is to provide a social environment for running within the Republic, all members are expected to be able to keep up with group! If unable to keep up said member must train harder until able to do so.
Should we win some relay races during the year that would be nice too!
3. CLUB OFFICIALS
The positions of Chairman & Vice Chairman shall be held by the present members until such time as they no longer reside within the republic. On departure of one or more club officials from the republic an election shall be held as soon as practical amongst MM members residing within the republic.
4. CLUB KIT
Club kit shall be worn at all races and especially when running with Dubai Road Runners. Club kit may be worn at Dubai Creek Strider events and training runs but members are warned that this may be detrimental to their health.
5. CLUB SOCIALS
Club Socials will be held on following the first club run of each calendar month. Hosting of Socials shall be undertaken on a rotational policy at residences of members residing within the republic. Each Host / Hostess shall provide sufficient quantities of fodder to satisfy the attending members. Should insufficient fodder be supplied the host / hostess can expect to be subject to public ridicule. Ratings for Club Socials will be published on the club website annually. Members residing outside the republic are expected to provide ample contributions of beverages when attending socials.
6. ANNUAL AWARDS
Annual awards will be presented at the clubs Christmas Social, categories and prizes are entirely at the discretion of the Chairman & Vice Chairman.
7. DISPUTES
Any disputes regarding membership of the club or other matters pertaining to said club shall be settled by the chairman or in his absence by the Vice Chairman. Their word shall be final and not open to any appeal, reason or other external forces.
